Recently, many clients who inquire about inflatable water parks invariably ask the same question: "How to operate in winter?" They generally worry about the situation where the park becomes crowded during summer but becomes deserted in autumn and winter.
It is normal to have such concerns. The seasonal nature of inflatable water parks is quite obvious. However, we can overcome the operational challenges by adjusting the operation mode. Below, we will take a look at some project cases to see how inflatable water parks can achieve year-round operation.
To solve a problem, one must first identify where the problem lies.
During summer, the only activities are water play. In autumn and winter, there are no suitable activities. Consumers' perceptions have become fixed, making it difficult for them to visit the store voluntarily. The number of visitors drops sharply in autumn and winter. If the entire park is opened, the costs of labor, water and electricity, and maintenance would be higher than the income, resulting in a loss. How can we break through the "fixed consumer perception"?
1."Waterless" renovation plan: From water park to ocean ball park
When the temperature drops and playing with water is no longer advisable, the equipment does not need to be stored in the warehouse. Instead, it undergoes a "waterless transformation".
The slide remained unchanged. The inflatable pool below emptied the water and was filled with thousands upon thousands of blue and white plastic balls. In an instant, the water play area transformed into a dreamy ocean ball paradise.
The originally floating "Unicorn Challenge" equipment can now be directly placed on an air cushion, transforming into a "land challenge". The water removal modification turns the water park into an ocean ball park, while maintaining the same level of fun.

2. "Floating Platform": A Water-Play Experience Without Getting Wet
To address the pain points of people being afraid of getting wet or catching a cold during autumn and winter, the Shenzhen Bao'an Swimming Pool launched the "Floating Wonders Park" in the winter and spring of 2023.
This project laid a huge buoyancy membrane on the swimming pool surface (capable of supporting more than 150 people), allowing visitors to run, jump, and play with air models and solve challenges on the water surface without getting wet. This successfully extended the swimming pool's operation period from half a year to the entire year. A single buoyancy membrane not only kept the cold out but also couldn't stop the joy brought by the water to the visitors.

3. Indoor scene migration: Constant temperature operation
For operators with the necessary conditions, in the autumn and winter seasons, they can move the equipment indoors and combine it with the constant temperature system to create a year-round accessible water park. The inflatable equipment is characterized by its easy disassembly, which provides convenience for the relocation of the venue.

Returning to the question that many customers of water parks are most concerned about: "How to operate in winter?"
The seasonal nature of inflatable water parks is not an insurmountable barrier. We can adapt to this situation and break away from the simplistic mindset of "just playing in water".
In summer, people cool off by being near water; in winter, they gather energy through creative activities. Through strategies such as "waterless transformation", "indoor relocation" and "floating platform experience", we re-create various gameplay scenarios for the water park, enabling it to truly transform from being idle for half the year to bustling throughout the year.
